DIY installation

Roller Blind Installation Guide

For this installation step, use the mounting method selected when you ordered. The sequence below covers the standard chain-control roller-blind installation used by the product configuration.

1. Identify the control and pin-end brackets

For this installation step, keep the control-side bracket and the idle/pin-end bracket on the same sides selected when ordering. Check the blind width against the opening before drilling.

2. Position and level the brackets

For this installation step, for a recess fit, position the brackets inside the recess. For a face fit, position them on the selected face-fixing surface. Mark the fixing holes and confirm both brackets are level with one another.

3. Fix the brackets securely

For this installation step, use screws and plugs appropriate to the actual fixing surface. Tighten the brackets firmly without distorting them.

4. Fit the blind

For this installation step, insert the pin/idler end first, compress it as required, then locate the control end into its bracket. Confirm both ends are fully seated before operating the blind.

5. Install the chain safety device

For this installation step, for chain-operated blinds, fit the supplied chain-tensioning/safety device so the chain is retained and operated safely. Follow the child-safety requirements supplied with the product.

6. Test and adjust

For this installation step, run the blind fully up and down. Check that the fabric tracks squarely, the bottom rail remains level and nothing rubs against the window hardware.

Double roller blinds: the same principle applies to the dual bracket. The rear sunscreen sits closest to the glass and the front blockout sits room-side; test each blind independently after installation.

Ready to install?

For this installation step, keep the blind supported until both bracket ends are fully engaged, then test the full travel before finishing the job.
