Quick Measure for an Indicative Shutter Price
A quick quote reading only needs enough accuracy to estimate the shutter size. Final order readings should be completed using the full guide for your chosen mount type. You can then enter these approximate readings on the shutter product page to calculate a price/quote.

What you need
Use a metal tape take and note dimensions in millimetres. Take the visible opening rather than relying on building plans or old blind sizes.

Measure the width
Take the approximate width of the window opening from left to right. For a quote, one careful width is generally enough unless the opening is obviously irregular. Use that result for this step.
Measure the drop
Run the tape from the top of the opening to the bottom. If the window has a sill, take to the surface where the shutter would finish. Use that result for this step.
Take a photo
A full-window photo helps identify the window type, architrave, sill and obvious obstructions. Final readings will still be required before manufacture. If you need to ask any questions pre-order you can then send this photo to us in an email or via our contact form. Use that result for this step.
